What was your inspiration to start Djing?
i loved the music and skratching was too kool for school!
Do you get frustrated when you can recreate a scratch that you have in your head?
it's a great challenge that i know can happen, so it's just a matter of time and practice
Does progress come in bursts or is it linear in your practise?
it's always happenin even when you think about it.
How long does it take you before you are 'in the zone' when cutting (after starting)?
it takes me about a half hour to warm up. for some reason lately i've been able to get into it quicker nowadays.
One of my friends is starting out as a DJ using hamster style straight away - If you could start again, would you start with hamster-style connections?
nope. i would practice normal. actually come to think of it, ardvaark style.
Did you ever have a day job?
i was a telephone tele marketer, and a carpenter apprentice. oh and i would jump out of cakes at bachelorette parties.
Do you do any supplementary training (eg Gripmaster, finger exercises etc...)?
nope. just a penis enlargement pump
Do you still get a buzz from performing live?
all the time.
Does it frustrate you when a crowd clearly doesn't understand what they are hearing?
ya. but the challenge is to make them understand. that's why i always wear really tight leotard.
Have you ever done a show where the crowd gave you a hard time?
of course. we wanted to get the sound right and we made the show lag so everyone was getting mad plus they were a sellout r&b radio crowd. but it's all good because it taught us to get ready to go as quickly as possible.

How do you structure your practise?
skratch slow, then fast.
How often do you perform at shows when you don't feel like it?
not really ever. we are in a position where we can choose to do the shows that we want to.
(I last saw you perform at Fresh 97 in the UK and you didn't seem very happy!)
my elephant just died the night before.
Your reputation was borne from battling, right?
no. i'm more known for painting my body and walking out the house naked while wearing skiis.
What do your parents think of your scratching? Have they always encouraged you?
when i was in hi school, they thought it was just a phase. now that i pay all the house bills, and i just bought a new house, they like it.
What was your reaction when you saw DJ Flare flaring?
my jaw hit the concrete, and i couldn't believe what i heard.
Do you ever practise beat-juggling? Does it interest you as much as scratching?
ya i practice beat juggling. i just love skratching because of how you can flow like a musical instrument.
Why are 1210s so heavy?
to make it harder for you to steal them
How often do you practise with the aliens?
whenever i practice, they are there

my hands hurted after learning this one skratch i had to do while massaging a bear

Do you think a comprehensive notation system for scratching can ever be developed?
sure. it'll be pretty crazy trying to notate the stuff we're all skratching nowadays though.
